boy Oh boy

So I don't know why I titled it boy Oh boy but I did.   So this is the blog of me wanting to let everyone know the 'pitty' party i was on after ABW I am no longer on that. I have decided I am going to do what I can to make things right in my life and ensure that I stay on the track of that I am having Bill keep track of me and make sure I don't slump into a hole.  Anyone close to me want to help with that? :)
American Leatherboy 2011 boy Tyler and boy Robert
So I know that I had canceled my events for November and December and I am actually devistated that I did it. Breakfast With Santa was one of my favorite things to do in 2010, but this year it just did not come together. I couldn't find a place to host it, a event or people interested in donating time to it or even helping with getting donations for the event. So I canceled it this year, but next year it is happening! I am planning on getting things together starting in July.  I am looking for places to host the Daddy's Naughty Valentine event that I had this past Feb. It was such a fun event last year this year I want it to be Bigger!
So this boy is still getting things going very slowly...I want to find a gym close to home/work that is open either 24 hours or late that isn't so expensive. I am also looking for a school. I have decided that I no longer want to go day by day and look at myself and considering myself a slacker for not going to school, so I want to get things together and go with my original plan and finish what I started, which I want to finish my culinary arts.  So i know that this blog may sound crazy and all mixed up but i am just pulling my head out of my ass and showing people that I am growing up. I am going to be a much better boy now!

Non-Revenue Flying

So I really never complain about flying just because there is no reason to complain, but this Sunday (Dec 4) was the worst time flying standby.  I got to the airport in OKC at about noon on Sunday and was hoping to get a flight to ATL and getting into Cincinnati at 656p but that didn't happen at all, the ATL flight was oversold....So I waited around for about another four flights and each one was oversold and couldn't get me out of OKC. Well Wesley (the gate agent) was boarding the flight that left for Detroit at 525p called me over to the gate and he got me on the flight to Detroit. So i make it to Detroit and I don't have a connection til this morning at 735a, I tried to sleep in the airport but just couldn't fall asleep.....I am now up and moving and relaxing really, I had my breakfast drinking a soda and waiting to start boarding the flight. I am so excited to get to Cincy then drive a good hour home then work my 1230-8p shift tonight, this is going to be fun!

World AIDs Day

Yesterday was world aids day and it just made me reflect on the things that are going on around myself and everyone else. There is so much going on with the Occupy Wall Street, to the change of the weather, to the holiday season kicking off. In just about a month I have been HIV positive for three years, I was taking meds but my doctor took me off of the meds for the fear that they weren't working. I am in contact with my Case Manager at ARC and still waiting on a answer to why I haven't recieved my new meds that I should have been on for two weeks! I guess there are issues with the paperwork for the new meds and they may not be covered by OHDAP. This is not news that I really want to hear, I am healthy but not as healthy as I want to be. I am not wanting people to feel sorry for me, I am fine, I just think that I do have the resources around me to get what I need to keep myself healthy but there are those people in different countries that don't have resources such as I do and they are dieing from the disease. I don't really know what the purpose of this blog is and still thinking more and more about it as I type. So I end this blog stating....why did I even start writing it?

Sir Ky and Myself
Hey Everyone, I know I haven't really written much on here in a while, I have had so much happening from traveling to San Francisco in May to working my ass off so much, to taking a couple of days and heading out to Utica, NY then back to work and preparing for my stepdown as the 2010 Ohio Valley Regional Leather Pride boy, to having a amazing 23 birthday with a wonderful man, to heading out to OKC, OK for two weeks and now I am back in Utica, NY til the 25th for a mini vacation and cracking down on ABW things. I am getting very excited yet nervous for ABW, its going to be a great contest to attend and participate in.
So starting everything out here I had a blast when I went to SFO back in May, I hung out with a GREAT person! His name is SIR Chris he is a really nice guy with a big heart! He took me out to Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, to the Golden Gate Bridge, Mrs. Doubtfire's house, the Painted Ladies, The Full House house, took me to a amazing beach the Muir Woods.  Also on top of all of that we went to Edge Bar SF and celebrated Mama's Birthday! She was surprised to see me, also she was inducted into the Ohio Leather Alliance on her birthday as well. SFO was a blast and I definitely want to go back soon!
Next thing that had happened was going out to Utica, NY and spending time with a amazing man that I met at C.L.A.W., I call him Marcus Demon, or my Demon. He is such a great guy with a big heart! He is also the main reason I had a amazing 23 birthday! Well my first visit here we went out to a Water Park in Old Forge, NY called Enchanted Forest, when we first got out to the water park the weather wasn't really that great but we stayed and as the day progressed it got better! We rode just about every water slide and it was a blast!
Well the next thing that happened was the 2011 Ohio Valley Regional Leather contest, it was my stepdown. it was sad, but I surely enjoyed every moment of it other than having to work my ass off each day of the contest then driving back to Columbus each evening for the contest. During the contest I was the Emcee of it, I introduced all the contestants and the judges. I had a blast with it!  I did give my speech on Saturday and couldn't help but cry. This year of my title was great, I enjoyed every moment of it and surely not going to stop doing what I do!
A few weeks later it was my birthday so I flew out to Syracuse, NY on August 1 and was in Utica til the 4th of August when I flew home. When I got in on the first we went back to the house and slept because I did get in very late.  Well the morning of the 2nd we woke up and went to Verizon where I got a new phone! Woohoo WHITE iPhone 4, right after we got the iPhone we went to Red Lobster and had lunch, I had never been to Red Lobster before, but the food was great! Oh yeah they also came out and sang Happy Birthday to me. After Red Lobster we went back to the house and relaxed a bit went swimming then around dinner time we went to a place called Mitsuba I believe where his friend Molly came out and met us. The place has GREAT FOOD! If you're wondering it is a Hibatchi grill where they cook everything in front of you and they squirt Sake in your mouth.  Well as we were finishing up dinner they come out and start singing Happy Birthday...TWICE in one day! Well in order for me to get the dessert for free I had to put a mask on and dance for about two minutes, mind you i was EXTREMELY embarassed!  So I did it anyways, the best part was after I did the dance they brought out the BOX that the Sake is poured out of into a bottle and they held it over my mouth til they ran out of Sake in the box lol I was slightly intoxicated when I left.
I think the best part of the trip to Utica, NY during my birthday was what we did on my actual birthday.  Marcus and I went back to Old Forge, NY to go kayaking for my very first time. It was amazing! I loved every minute of it. I am not really that big on outdoors but it just made me feel so different and I would do it again! It was a seven mile kayaking trip that took us four hours to do and man my arms were hurting a bit afterwards.  After we left from the lake we went to Applebees for dinner, where once again I had Happy Birthday sang to me. Three times in a two day period!
Well that is the update of the last three months of my crazy life. Right now I am preparing for American Brotherhood Weekend, where I will be competing for American Leatherboy. I am excited and nervous, but I know I will do a great job during the contest! I have the support of my close family and friends also my LARGE Leather Family that I know is supporting me whether they are able to be at the contest or not.  Well all I hope that you have a great rest of the week and will see you all soon!

TDY, eXile Stepdown & C.L.A.W

Some of you may have known that I was in Cleveland for two weeks doing TDY. For some reason TDY means Temporary Duty, not sure why the Y is there but yeah.  Well myself and my friend Edin from work went to Cleveland and helped out since they were short some people. We had a blast while we were out there we worked our asses off that is for sure. I worked about 12 days straight then got off of work to fly back home and do my stepdown at Exile.  Then I had to hurry back to Cleveland and head back to work so didn't get to party much with the new boy or my friends. While we worked in Cleveland we didn't get to go out much or do much since we were working the whole time. But we did have a Monday off together the week of C.L.A.W. so we went to the Great Lakes Science Center with the guy I refer to as Edin's Stalker lol, there is a back story on that but yeah....
Well as far as the eXile stepdown it was sad. I cried after I did the stepdown and before the contestants started coming out. I did say one thing and that one thing has been on my mind since I said it, "I am not stepping away, this is the beginning and I am pushing harder than I have before"  I see no reason for me to step away, I am a boy, better yet I am a boy for the community. I love being out there and helping the people that are in need of the help.  I have many events planned for the next couple of months, its just the fact of trying to get them all to fit in my schedule that may be changing soon.  I hope it doesn't change much!  Back to the eXile boy contest, there were five contestants and there were five judges, plus there were a TON of people in the audience that evening as well.  The winner of the contest was boy Steven and the first runner up was Shane Sprankel, Congrats to both and I had already told all the boys that I am drafting them to help with my fundraisers!
Now all about C.L.A.W.  C.L.A.W also known as Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend happened this April 28-May 1 and it was amazing!! I had so much fun out in Cleveland I loved it!!  I had met so many people from different areas of the United States and I had finally met Mama Reinhart who I have talked to for a while but had never met.  I am Mama's Army Cub so it was great to meet her, and also be in my first Mama's Family photo. While at C.L.A.W. I also did a photo shoot for the C.L.A.W. nation posters that circle around the U.S in different bars, also while there I was a table captain at the International Family dinner, basically I sit at a table with a group of men who I really didn't know and we talked about different things, I just had to make sure that I kept the conversations going and it wasn't quiet and boring at the table, I think I did a good job at that.  I attended a few classes while there and I learned a few things that I had never knew before.  But the next things I have planned are surprises to be left for people to wonder about hehe...

For those of you that don't know what TBRU stands for it is the Texas Bear Round Up, one of the biggest bear runs in the U.S. It is one of the best things you can go to! I am very excited to go and spend this time with some of my friends that I have, as well as meeting new men while out there!  This year I will be working with my friend Michael, which I can't wait to see him!! We are going to be in the Vendor Market most of the day, the iPad will be playing music, and just hanging out having fun the whole time.

Hey Everyone!
It has almost been a month since the fundraiser and not much has really gone on. In case you didn't know Daddy Bill and I are no longer together so I am a single leather boy,  But this journey is still going on!  Had a amazing time hanging out with friends and flying out to St Louis, Missouri to get rid of my car that I was having issues with.  Other than that been working a lot really, just trying to get things together and have fun while doing it. Then went out to OKC, OK for drill and thats when things were starting to feel odd.
While out in OKC I noticed that my muscles were getting weak and I was just feeling so drained of all my energy.  It just seemed to have gotten worse over the weekend and Monday morning I called and set up a DR appointment to figure out what is wrong.  Well the DR said it was a Staph Infection. But the staph infection that I had was not a good one it had gone so long in my body that my body was weakening very quickly.  So i have been off work since Sunday(3/7) and don't go back til this Sunday Night (3/13).  Each day i have taken the meds and relaxed in warm baths of Epsom Salt water to heal up the Staph infection and its turning to be better than it was.  I  go back to the doctor on Thursday to get checked out again and hopefully be back to work on Sunday! Next week is TBRU!!
TBRU(Texas Bear Round Up) is the event that a lot of Bears, Cubs, Otters, Chasers and everyone else looks forward to! I know I am excited! I am helping out my friend Michael while out there, which i can't wait to see him!  I can't wait to hang out and have fun with friends and enjoy the whole weekend!
But for now I am outta here, I am tired and need to prepare for a fun eventful day tomorrow! :)

Your boy,
boy Robert

Daddy's Naughty Valentine

As most of you know I had a fundraiser on Feb. 11 called Daddy's Naughty Valentine.  It didn't go as well as planned but I dealt with the issues and had fun with it no matter what!  I am proud to have had my friends out to help me especially Sir Dart who traveled in from Toronto to help participate in the fundraiser.  If you weren't able to come out to the fundraiser you sure missed Sir hog tying me and throwing me face down on the stage, which was very hot!!  You also missed me being pulled around the bar with clothespins and money hanging off of my body. Which was hot as well! The jello shots and the raffles went around, we had four different raffle baskets. This same night was also a drag show at the bar so I worked with the queens to have a good night together.  Though there were many people that kept giving us weird looks and making comments I had fun with it, and can't wait to do another fundraiser with Sir Dart again!  But if you missed this one you don't want to miss the next one I have planned.  Just think of some type of Military Maneuvers with dogtags, camo, and partially naked boys.  If you want to help out please send me a message or a email!

Once again thank you Sir Dart for making this a Fun Fundraiser!!

So I was just thinking to myself while I was washing the dishes that two days ago (Jan. 27th) was my two year anniversary of discovering that I was HIV +. I remember that I was sad and depressed about it and I didn't really have anyone to talk to. I remember that I had had thoughts of taking my life because I didn't know why god would have given me the disease with no cure. But I thought about it and there is a reason he gave it to me, I was in a hole. My life was sucking, I had a crappy job no real friends just people who posed themselves as a friend and turn around to stab you while your not looking. But now I look back and see that it had changed me. From then to now I have made so many friends, some are positive some are negative, but they don't care what your status is as long as you are true to yourself. Its amazing that two years of being HIV + I didn't have to take any sort of meds, but on the 27th of Jan I started taking Atripla. We shall see how that med works with me and if it is going to help lower my counts and everything. HIV really doesn't change who you are, its you who changes who you are. I was in a hole and for some strange reason it made me look at myself and want to better myself. Thats when I realized I needed to do more for myself and more for the community, and since then I have been helping with different charities and fundraisers in the different states that I have lived in. I love helping and I really don't think I'll be stopping anytime soon! This is just a random blog of thoughts that I have had today, it is a bit jumbled, but I hope you understand what it means really.

Friday, January 28, 2011

So just a random thought that I have had for the last couple of days. I don't mind going to fundraisers and helping out people that need the help. But why should I continue to go to one bar where the money raised at a fundraiser goes to one individual all the time? Its not right to just throw a fundraiser and have it go to your travel fund, its not right! You are a member of the community a title holder and someone that is there to help, but you care about yourself? Its just not right....Just random thoughts about it really. I just don't want to deal with this bullshit anymore!

A Change!

Hey Everyone, I have finally gotten the blog and websites up and running, just doing the last minute editing of everything. I am still working on the pics for the website, trying to figure out a good way to get them all published in certain albums.  So just working on that, as of this week I am working 0500-0800 M-Th then off Fri and Sat have three fundraisers in Columbus, OH to go to on that day so lets hope I can make it to all three! I don't really have much more to say on here as of right now other than I am still working out the last minute kinks on things. If you see something that looks wrong or out of place please don't hesitate to let me know on here or at my email( I would appreciate it very much!
